PTA (Parent Teacher Association)

The relationship between parents and the school is of the upmost importance to us and as such we welcome involvement from yourselves when we feel it adds value to the running of our school.  If extra helpers are needed on school trips, we will advertise these to you.

We have a very active and friendly PTA who fundraise throughout the year by holding special fundraising events, and also through selling refreshments at our school events. Some of the PTA fundraising initiatives include the hugely popular ‘Ice cream Fridays’ run in the summer term, a festive North Pole breakfast for all the children at Christmas as well as a big Christmas shopping night fundraiser held every year in the winter term. The money raised helps to fund resources and experiences for all our school children. 

The PTA committee structure includes class reps, whose role it is to pass information to parents in their class about PTA initiatives, as well as to listen to parents ideas and help to bring the class parents together to share experiences as their children go through their journey at Withington. Class reps can also help with practical things such as helping parents with second hand school uniform, offering help for new parents settling in and sharing their experiences! If you are a new parent to the school, our class reps will introduce themselves to you and make you feel welcome! Our current class reps are:

The PTA hold an annual meeting which everyone is invited to come along to.  Should you be interested in getting involved in the PTA please speak to the chair Lizzie Threadingham, or the school office for more information). Photos would be fab too! It would be good to add who the other PTA committee are too. So would it be possible somewhere to add the committee members somewhere:
