Pre-School Information

Withington Pre-School is a small, friendly setting, integrated within the primary school, participating in school activities such as collective worship, assemblies, sports day as well as school plays at Christmas and in the summer. 

We are open to children from 2 years old and operate term time only.  We accept the Government Funding for 15/30 hours.  Our opening hours are:

Monday 8am - 4pm

Tuesday 8am - 4pm

Wednesday 8am  -4pm

Thursday 8am - 4pm

Friday 8am - 3.15pm

Throughout the day Pre-School children learn through play inside, in our specifically designed outdoor area and our spacious playground.  

Mathematics and letters and sounds sessions are carried out daily providing more focused learning opportunities for each individual child. 

Our children enjoy weekly activities such as PE, including                                                              gymnastics, dance and golf.  

We endeavor to carry out a termly trip outside of the setting to extend our knowledge and learning.  In the past these have been to places such as Birdland Park, when we were learning about dinosaurs and an invertebrate experience when exploring bugs.  Let's also not forget our annual trip to see Santa where we participate in a Nativity with real life animals.
